Mark your calendars! Jamii invites you to "Joy in the Park" at David Crombie Park on Friday, October 4th, and Saturday, October 5th, at 6pm. This all-ages event promises joyful live music, stunning dance performances, and complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider—perfect to kick off your Nuit Blanche journey in the neighborhood!

The evening begins with live music from Moskitto Bar, an incredible group that blends Balkan, French Celtic, Iraqi Middle-Eastern, and Ukrainian influences. They’ve performed across Ontario and Québec, including at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.

Between two musical sets (and a sip of hot chocolate), you’ll be treated to Earth Synergy, a dynamic dance performance by Artists in Motion (AIM). This piece explores our individual connections to the cyclical nature of time, through the four elements and an interplay of energy, movement, and music. AIM, directed by Shameka Blake, is known for creating works that spotlight social justice and Black culture, performing across the GTA, including at the Dusk Dances festival.

We are thrilled to welcome both Moskitto Bar and AIM to our Joy in the Park event! Get ready to groove to an exciting lineup of music and movement that will keep you energized for two nights straight.
